KANSAS CITY, Kan. - St. Olaf seniors Lindsay Howard and Deanne Schmidt were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-North Region second team on Monday.

The seniors helped lead the Oles to a season record of 10-5-3, including a 5-4-2 mark in the MIAC. The season was St. Olaf's third straight winning season.

Howard led St. Olaf in goals (10), assists (6), and points (26) this fall, including three game-winning goals and was named to her second All-MIAC team. She was third in the MIAC in both goals and points-per-game (1.44). This fall, Howard became St. Olaf's career leader in goals with 35, breaking Kelsey Watt's career mark. She finished her St. Olaf career with 39 goals and is also the school's leader in career assists (18) and points (96).

After playing mostly as a defender in 2010, Schmidt moved into the midfield this fall to good effect. The senior was third on the team in goals (4) and second in shots (36). Schmidt started all 18 of St. Olaf's games, working tirelessly as a center midfielder. For her efforts, she was named to her third MIAC All-Conference Team.
