No. 18 UW-Stevens Point races to lead, holds off Ole men

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - No. 18 UW-Stevens Point had four players in double figures in an 83-70 non-conference men's basketball win over visiting St. Olaf on Friday night at Bennett Court.

Jordan Brezinski and Dan Tillema had 21 points each to pace the Pointers (10-2), who used a 14-0 run in the first half to turn a 10-9 St. Olaf lead to a 13-point advantage. Tillema had nine points in the run including a three-pointer and a dunk.

The Oles (4-6) were paced by Bobby Fong's 20 points and a 13-point, eight-assist night from Alfred Jaryan. Stu Neville just missed a double-double with his nine points and 13 rebounds and Connor Gunderson added 10 points in the loss.

St. Olaf returns to MIAC action on Wednesday with a home game against Concordia College-Moorhead at 7:45 p.m.
