DULUTH, Minn. - St. Olaf forward Kristen Latta scored twice in the final two periods to erase a two-goal deficit, but St. Scholastica's Michelle Rebeck answered with a goal with nine seconds left in regulation to lift the host Saints to a 4-3 women's hockey win over the Oles on Tuesday night.
St. Scholastica held a dominating 46-14 advantage in shots, but St. Olaf managed to stay in the game with a 27-save appearance by Ali McKeever. McKeever came in relief of Sam Ubl, who surrendered a trio of scores in 29-plus minutes of work.
Lisa Turri got the Oles on the board with her goal at 18:12 of the first, on an assist from Shea Noerenberg.
CSS responded with a pair of goals in the first 2:30 of the second, including the second goal of the game by Jordan Klimek to make it 3-1.
Latta then scored at 16:32 of the second and 18:38 of the third to tie the game at 3-3. Michelle Rebek then regained the lead for the Saints with her unassisted game-winner with 9.9 seconds left on the clock.
