Oles get 66-51 win over Cobbers as Rotty scores 20

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Kirstee Rotty had 20 points and Elise Raney 11 off the bench as St. Olaf defeated visiting Concordia College-Moorhead 66-51 on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.

Rotty was 8-for-15 from the field and added five rebounds.

The win snapped a 19-game losing streak in the series with the Cobbers, dating to Dec. 8, 2001.

Leading 25-24 late in the first half, the Oles (8-2, 5-2 MIAC) used a 13-0 run and never turned back. St. Olaf extended the lead to as many as 22 in the second half as the Cobbers (6-4, 4-3 MIAC) were a mere 4-for-17 from the field in the second half.

Emily Thesing had 15 and Tricia Sorenson 10 points to lead Concordia in the loss.
