Oles top Bethel 43-36

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. Elise Raney led the St. Olaf women's basketball with 12 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks to a 43-36 win over Bethel University on Saturday at Robertson Center Gym.

Mackenzie Wolter added 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals in the victory. Wolter scored the Oles' first seven points and her late bucket -- a running layup with 1:59 left -- gave St. Olaf (9-2, 6-2 MIAC) a five-point lead. Brittany Webber sealed the win by hitting a pair of free throws inside the final minute.

Taylor Sheley had 14 points and four steals to pace Bethel (8-3, 6-2 MIAC).

Both teams were ice cold from the field. St. Olaf made 36.2 percent (17-of-47) from the floor while the Royals were 13-for-53 (24.5 percent).

St. Olaf plays at Augsburg College on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
