Neville, Oles overcome 17-point second half deficit to down SJU

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Stu Neville had a career-high 36 points to go with 11 rebounds to lead St. Olaf -- which trailed by 17 with 7:30 left -- to an 82-77 overtime MIAC men's basketball win over host Saint John's on Saturday afternoon.
Neville was 13-for-20 from the field and had seven points in the Oles' 24-7 run to finish regulation. Nathan Kuck, who added 17 points off the bench, nailed two three's and added a layup in the rally. His three-pointer with 31 seconds left in overtime gave the Oles (7-6, 6-3 MIAC) a four-point advantage.
Saint John's was led by Seth Marx, who had 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting, and Aaron Barmore's 21 points. The Johnnies had three turnovers and went 1-for-3 from the line in the final five minutes. Marx hit six three-pointers in the loss.
St. Olaf had a season-best 20 assists, against only five turnovers, in the victory. Alfred Jaryan had seven and no giveaways.
