Ole women fall behind, can't catch Royals in 6-2 loss

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's hockey team dug a 3-0 hole and lost a 6-2 MIAC contest to visiting Bethel University on Friday night at Northfield Ice Arena.

Cristina Masten had two goals and Charise Kendrick a goal and two assists for Bethel.

St. Olaf cut into the 3-0 BU lead with a goal from Nicole Stumpf at 17:53 of the second period.

The Royals, however, responded with a Masten score to open the scoring the in third, at 17:32. The Oles'Alex Meyer answered 14 seconds later, but BU added two empty net goals in the final 46 seconds to seal the victory.
