Macalester beats Ole women 59-50

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Macalester's Holly Schiedermayer had 19 points as the host Scots beat St. Olaf 59-50 in a MIAC women's basketball game on Wednesday night at the Leonard Center.

St. Olaf (12-5, 9-5 MIAC) was a dismal 17-for-71 from the field and 3-for-25 from three-point range in the loss.

The Scots (8-9, 6-8 MIAC) raced to an 11-2 lead in the opening minutes and held a 13-point advantage at the half. St. Olaf closed the gap to 46-41 at the 10:14 mark, but then made just one of its next seven shots and had three turnovers in the next five-plus minutes.

Nikki Frogner had 11 points and Mackenzie Wolter had nine points and 11 rebounds for the Oles in the loss.
