MINNEAPOLIS - Kira Clunis scored the game-winner with 1:06 left as St. Olaf claimed a 2-1 MIAC women's hockey win over host Augsburg College in overtime on Saturday to take three of four points from the Auggies in the two-game league series.
Clunis, amid traffic in front of the net, got her stick on the puck and powered it past Augsburg goaltender Brianna Schultz. Schultz took the tough-luck loss, making 45 saves.
Ali McKeever made 28 saves in a winning effort for the Oles (6-9-2, 6-4-2 MIAC). St. Olaf had its other goal from Christina Benjamin, a short-handed score off a feed from Nicole Stumpf, at 11:24 of the second.
Augsburg took a 1-0 lead on a Jess Geisinger goal at 9:24 of the first.
