Smith wins long jump at UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Cameron Smith won the long jump with a 6.7 meter leap to lead the Oles at the non-scored UW-River Falls Brooks Classic on Saturday.
Two Oles qualified for the finals in the 55 dash. Kevin Foss was fifth (6.72) and Karl Bourne (6.76) sixth. Aaron Dunphy also ran his way to the finals in the 55 hurdles, finishing sixth (8.18).
Jordan Pesik was fourth in the 600 (1:30.16) and Erik Gartland was fifth (1:30.37).
Kyle Wagener was sixth in the 3k (9:25.33), Bryan Hulse was eighth (9:29.82), and Lucas Foley was ninth (9:34.65).
Ethan Smith threw 16.47 meters to place third in the weight throw. JB Tut cleared 1.90 meters to finish seventh in the high jump.
St. Olaf competes at the Univ. of Minnesota's Snowshoe Open on Friday.
