Ole women skate past Saint Ben's

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Katie Moeller had a goal and an assist to lead St. Olaf to a 3-1 MIAC women's hockey victory over visiting Saint Benedict on Saturday at Northfield Ice Arena.

Kira Clunis broke a 1-1 tie with her goal at 9:30 of the second period and Taylor Orr added an unassisted tally at 14:31 of the third for the Oles (7-10-4, 7-5-2 MIAC).

Sam Ubl made 17 saves to earn her third victory (3-2-3) of the winter.

The win enabled St. Olaf to keep pace in the race for a spot in the five-team MIAC playoffs. St. Olaf is in fourth, at 16 points, four ahead of the sixth spot with two weekends left.
