ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Peter Rohn's power-play goal late in the third period lifted St. Olaf to a 2-1 MIAC men's hockey win over host Saint John's University on Saturday, to save a split in the two-game series.
Rohn's game-winner came on assists from Britton Smith and Charlie Raskob, just 10 seconds into the power play. The goal, with 5:15 left in regulation, came just over two minutes after Saint John's tied the game on a Joe Harren score.
Raskob had the Oles' first goal on an assist from Derek Grogan at 8:38 of the second.
SJU held a 30-24 advantage in shots, but Ben Leis' 29 saves helped the Oles escape and move back into a second place tie with the Johnnies and Gustavus with one weekend left in MIAC play.
