Larson shines at Ole Open Qualifier

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - First Year Dani Larson cleared 1.71 (5'7 1/4") in the high jump at the Ole Open Qualifier on Saturday to win the event by eight centimeters. Larson's jump ranks fourth in Division III this season.

Larson also tied for first in the 60 hurdles (9.31) and finished second in the 400 (59.50).

Moriah Novacinski won the mile (5:19.16) and was second in the 800 (2:21.23). Novacinski holds MIAC honor roll top ten times in the 800, 1000 and mile.

Maren Westby was second in the 1,000 (3:01.96), running the fifth fastest time in the MIAC this season. Westby also holds the sixth fastest time in the mile.

Emily Stets ran 60.08 in the 400, finishing fourth. And Elise Raney finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.53.

The Oles compete at the MIAC Indoor Championships next week at Macalester College.
