Ole women drop regular season finale, will be fourth seed in upcoming playoffs

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's hockey team dropped a 3-2 game to host St. Catherine University on Saturday, but the Oles held on to the fourth seed for next week's MIAC playoffs.
The Oles (9-12-4, 9-7-4 MIAC) will host the fifth seed, Bethel University, who lost on Saturday as well.
St. Catherine (12-10-2) broke a 2-2 second period tie with a Megan Killmer goal at 16:02 and held the Oles scoreless the rest of the way to pick up the win.
St. Olaf trailed 1-0 and 2-1, but had tying goals from Christina Benjamin and Devyn Hotho in the loss.
Haley Morningstar had 25 saves to get the victory for the Wildcats. Ali McKeever had 25 for the Oles in the loss, including 12 in the final period.
