MINNEAPOLIS - St. Scholastica swept St. Olaf 3-1 and 6-2 in a non-conference baseball doubleheader at the Metrodome on Thursday afternoon.

Game One: St. Scholastica 3, St. Olaf 1
The Saints used a St. Olaf throwing error to spark a three-run third inning on the way to the 3-1 victory.

The CSS win offset a 3-for-3 game from the Oles' Nick Denn and a 2-for-4 game from Andy Bartz, who drove in the only St. Olaf run.

Kyle Jensen was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI while Parker Olson was also 2-for-3 for the Saints in the win. With a runner aboard in the third, CSS' Tom Juberian bounced back to St. Olaf pitcher Brady Sand, who fielded and threw wide of second base to score the runner and move Juberian to second. St. Scholastica then capitalized on a Jensen triple.

CSS jumped to a 5-0 lead and held St. Olaf to two hits in the game two win to get the sweep.

CSS starter Mickie Kuening allowed no hits, to go with five walks and four stikeouts, in his five innings of work while Kyle Flagstad was 3-for-3 and Jenson 2-for-3.

The Oles only runs came without the benefit of a hit. In the fifth St. Olaf took three walks and, with two outs, then scored on a wild pitch and an error.

Denn picked up the Oles' first of two hits in the loss, a line drive to right field in a pinch hitting role in the sixth inning.
