Women's alpine skiing fifth at USCSA Championships

SUNDAY RIVER, Maine - The St. Olaf women's alpine ski team finished fifth at the United States Collegiate Skiing and Snowboarding National Championships, which wrapped up on Saturday.
The Ole women, who were led by Katie Ulvestad, were third in the giant slalom and seventh in the slalom in the event.
Ulvestad finished ninth in the overall standings, taking 15th in the giant slalom and seventh in the slalom.
Women's Giant Slalom Ulvestad was the Oles top finisher in 15th position. She was followed by McKenna McNabb (16th), Madison McLachlan (24th), Miranda Ness (36th) and Alex Anderson (58th). The women placed 3rd in the Giant Slalom.
Women's Slalom Katie Ulvestad again was the top Ole finisher coming in 7th in the race. She was followed by Madison McLachlan (33rd), Alex Anderson (39th) and Kathleen Stefely (42nd). The women finished the slalom in 7th place.
