Grogan a ACHA First Team All-America selection

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - St. Olaf senior defenseman Derek Grogan was named to the American Hockey Coaches Association (ACHA) CCM Division II-III All-America West First Team, the association announced on Thursday afternoon.
Grogan is one of two representing the MIAC on the team, with Gustavus' Ross Ring-Jarvi, and is one of two Minnesotans of the 30 All-Americans.
Grogan had seven goals and 14 assists in his final campaign, as St. Olaf advanced to its first MIAC Playoff title game since 2006. Grogan was a three-time All-MIAC honoree and had a team-high six power play goals this winter. He finished his career with 24 goals and 46 assists in 102 games, a four-year stretch that saw the Oles compile a 52-36-17 record and three postseason appearances.
