Oles, Cobbers trade MIAC softball games

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf and Concordia College split a MIAC softball doubleheader on Wednesday, as the host Oles won the opener 4-3 before losing game two, 8-3.
Game One: St. Olaf 4, Concordia 3 The Oles' Maggie Scholer hit a two-run homer in the first inning as a part of a 2-for-3 game as St. Olaf built a 4-0 lead and held off the Cobbers 4-3. Chris Miller added a two-run single in the fifth for the Oles, who managed only four hits in the win.
Concordia was led by Kaia Sele, who was 2-for-4 and drove in a run.
Game Two: Concordia 8, St. Olaf 3 St. Olaf collected 11 hits, but stranded nine runners in the 8-3 loss to Concordia. Kari Zimmerman was 3-for-3 with two RBIs while Miller and Kayla Gronli were each 2-for-4 in the loss.
Sele was 3-for-4 with three doubles and two RBIs for the Cobbers, who scored in each of the first four innings.
