BVU hands softball two losses

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Buena Vista University defeated St. Olaf twice -- 7-2 and 10-5 -- in a non-conference softball doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.
Game One: Buena Vista 7, St. Olaf 2 BVU opened up a 5-0 lead in the first two innings on the way to the game one victory. Chancey Wilcke went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer while pitching a complete game five-hitter to lead the Beavers.
Jess Wilson had a double and an RBI in the loss for the Oles, who made four errors in the defeat.
Game Two: Buena Vista 10, St. Olaf 5 The Beavers scored seven first inning runs, helped by three walks and two errors, and coasted until the fifth inning. BVU was one out away from a run-rule victory when St. Olaf rallied for four runs in the frame to make it 9-5.
Wilson was 2-for-4 with an RBI and run while Nikki Frogner drove in two runs with her single in the fifth for St. Olaf.
Brooke Berkey was 3-for-5 and Stephanie Hayden 3-for-3 for the Beavers.
