Lee breaks record as Oles compete at Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa. - Junior Emma Lee broke her own school record by 26 seconds in the 10,000-meter run on Friday at the Jim Duncan Invitational at Drake University.

Lee's finishing time of 36.26.01 won the event and currently places her tenth nationally. Teammate Becca Bevans competed in her career first 10,0000-meter run with a time of 38.30 placing her in in the top ten school records for the event.

In the steeplechase, sophomore Kelsey Mullen cut over 20 seconds from her 2011 season personal best, placing her sixth on the Olaf all-time list with a time of 12.01.68. Paige Schember also broke into the school's top ten record in her second ever attempt in the event with a 12.09.21.

The Oles will complete at home in the Manitou Classic on Saturday at 11 a.m.
