SMU takes two from Oles

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Saint Mary's University used three homers in game one and held off St. Olaf in game two, 5-3, to complete a MIAC baseball sweep of the host Oles on Wednesday at Mark Almli Field.
Game One: SMU 11, St. Olaf 8
Jon Schlemmer went 2-for-2 with a pair of homers and two walks as the Cardinals came back from a 6-4 deficit to get the victory.
St. Olaf used a five-run third inning, capped by Adam Johnson's two-out, two-run double. Andy Bartz and Jim Blissenbach also had run-scoring hits in the frame.
Bartz and Porter were 2-for-2 while Blissenbach was 2-for-4 in the loss.
Game Two: SMU 5, St. Olaf 3
The Oles scored three unanswered to get within 4-3 and had the bases loaded with one out in the seventh, but the Oles' Dan Lee grounded into a game-ending double play.
Lee was 2-for-4 and Brady Sand 2-for-3 in the loss for the Oles, who had a six-inning relief appearance from Anders Dzurak. Dzurak allowed two earned runs while striking out seven.
The Cardinals were led by Justin Kronebusch, who went six innings to get the win. Tyler Krysiak allowed three hits in the seventh, but got the double play ball to escape and get the save. Daniel Geraghty was 2-for-4 to lead SMU at the plate.
