Ole softball team takes two losses at Hamline

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hamline University dealt St. Olaf a pair of MIAC softball losses -- 9-1 and 11-3 -- on Friday afternoon at Meredith Field.
Game One: Hamline 9, St. Olaf 1 Hamline scored in each of its four at-bats, sparked by a trio of 2-for-3 performances. Lauren Clauston and Lauren Turitto were each 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Bethany Hine was 2-for-3 with two runs for the Pipers.
Natalie Mironov was 2-for-2 and Maggie Scholer 1-for-2 with a double and a walk for the Oles.
Game Two: Hamline 11, St. Olaf 3 Hamline had eight hits in a seven-run second inning, as Clouston went 2-for-4 with a homer and five RBIs to lead the Pipers to the 11-3 win and sweep. Hine (3-for-4, 3 runs) and Laura Randall (3-for-5) each had three hits.
Haley Schreier was 2-for-3 for the Oles, who committed four errors in the loss.
