Two-out rally helps Oles save split with Scots

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf scored five runs with two outs in the fourth inning on the way to a 6-2 win in game two to save a MIAC softball split with Macalester College on Monday at Mabel Shirley Field.

Game One: Macalester 7, St. Olaf 4
Macalester scored four runs in the fifth inning and three more in the sixth to upend St. Olaf 7-4 in the opener.

Haley Schreier was 2-for-4 for the Oles in the loss. Miranda Stokes was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Macalester.

Game Two: St. Olaf 6, Macalester 2
Mackenzie Wolter capped the Oles' five-run fourth inning with a two-out, two-run homer to left. Wolter added an RBI double later in the game to finish 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs.

Natalie Mironov was also 2-for-3 for the Oles, who had four hits in the fourth. Mironov's double plated the team's first run in the frame.

Jess Green went the distance for St. Olaf on the rubber, scattering five hits while striking out four in the win.
