Runs hard to come by as SJU sweeps Oles

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Saint John's University limited St. Olaf to one run in a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Oles -- 3-1 and 4-0 -- on Tuesday afternoon.

Game One: Saint John's 3, St. Olaf 1
The Johnnies' Hayden Zimmerman threw a complete game three-hitter, allowing only an unearned run in the fifth inning as the Johnnies won the opener.

SJU plated two in the first inning and added a Luke Larson solo homer in the second inning to lead 3-0 after two. The Oles scored on an error, single and wild pitch in the fifth inning to make it 3-1, but went down in order in their final two at bats.

Game Two: Saint John's 4, St. Olaf 0
Connor Cline tossed six shutout innings, striking out six while allowing only two hits as SJU won a 4-0 game to complete the sweep.

The Oles' Anders Dzurak gave up only two earned runs on six hits and no walks in his six innings. The Johnnies scored one in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth.
