Oles sweep Carleton to close 2012

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf softball team closed the 2012 season with a 7-2 and 10-2 sweep of Carleton College on Sunday afternoon at Mabel Shirley Field.
Game One: St Olaf 7, Carleton 2 St. Olaf used a five-run second inning and had a 2-for-3 effort from Jess Wilson in the win. Amy Prok went the distance, scattering seven hits for the complete game win.
The Oles had three hits and took advantage of a Carleton error in the five-run burst.
Game Two: St. Olaf 10, Carleton 2 Chris Miller, Maggie Scholer and Wilson homered for St. Olaf as the Oles raced to a 5-0 lead after two innings and ended the game with their second five-run rally of the day, in the fifth inning.
Kayla Gronli and Haley Schrieir went 2-for-2 for the Oles while Julie Fergus was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Jess Green worked all five innings for the Oles to get the win.
