Men's golf finishes spring at SJU Invite

MONTICELLO, Minn. - J.R. Shimpach and Ryan Lubinsky finished with two-round 148's (+6) to finish tied for 27th in a deep field at the Saint John's Spring Invitational on Sunday at Monticello Country Club.

The Oles shot a spring-low 297 in the second round, helped by Lubinsky's 72 and Shimpach's 73, to finish 11th in the 16-team field that included a pair of NCAA Division II institutions and six Division III schools ranked in the top 25.

The two-round 148 (75-73) was a personal best for Shimpach.
