Hamline sweeps season finale from Ole baseball squad

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hamline University swept St. Olaf 1-0 and 13-3 in a season-ending MIAC baseball doubleheader on Monday afternoon at Midway Stadium.

Game One: Hamline 1, St. Olaf 0
St. Olaf managed only two hits, spoiling a solid outing by starter Alex Lampert. Lampert scattered five hits and a walk, while striking out five in the tough-luck loss.

Jordan Buck was 2-for-3 and drove in the game's only run with his third-inning double for the Pipers.

Game Two: Hamline 13, St. Olaf 3
Hamline blew the game open with four runs in the fourth and eight in the fifth inning on the way to the sweep.

Andy Bartz went 3-for-4 and Erik Nelson 2-for-3 to lead the Oles.
