Ole women fall to ninth at NCAA's

ANGOLA, Ind. - The St. Olaf women's golf team fell six spots to ninth with a team score of 330 on Wednesday in the second of four rounds at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships.

Molly Erickson stayed steady for the Oles, duplicating her 76 from the first round to jump two spots to fourth (tie) on the individual leaderboard. She was 1-under through her first nine holes, before making bogies on 10 and 12. After making a pair of double bogies, she finished the round with a birdie on the par 5 18th. Erickson is three stroked back of the leader -- UW-Eau Claire's Catherine Wagner.

Scoring came tougher for the rest of the Oles, who added 15 stroked from Tuesday's first round. Maxine Carlson fired an 82, while Vanessa Kleckner and Molly Knutson each finished with an 86.
