KANSAS CITY, KAN.- The St. Olaf men's soccer team is ranked No. 16 in the nation of the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III National Pre-Season poll, as released on Tuesday.

The Oles are coming off a 17-4-1 season, which saw them finish at No. 20 in the final poll last fall. St. Olaf's impressive season included a 7-2-1 mark in the MIAC, as the team shared the MIAC championship with Carleton. The regular season championship was the fifth in school history and the team went on to secure their first MIAC Playoff championship by defeating Carleton 3-2 in double overtime.

In the NCAA tournament, St. Olaf defeated Carroll University (Wis.) 3-1 in the first round, before bowing out to host Luther 1-0 in the second round. Luther is ranked No. 19 in the NSCAA poll. The Oles return seven of eleven starters, as they look to put together another strong season.
