GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Michael Thai rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns as the visiting Oles topped DePauw University 31-10 on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference football game.

Thai's final score, an 82-yard sprint in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, came a play after the Oles' Jimmy Gildea had an interception that all but sealed the win.

The Gildea interception was the Oles' second of the day as Nick Nazarian had one on a fourth down late in the third quarter. The Ole defense was led by Erick Marigi's 10 tackles.

St. Olaf quarterback Dan Dobson rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown and passed for 212 yards on 21-of-35 with no interceptions. Dobson led a nine-play, 68-yard drive to open the second half to give St. Olaf a 17-7 lead. Later in the third, he completed his only pass and rushed for 35 yards on an 11-play, 78-yard drive that made it 24-10.

Taylor Wagner had seven receptions for 72 yards for the Tigers (0-1). Jackson Kirtley added five receptions, including a 7-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. The score was set up by a fumble on a punt inside the Oles' 5-yard line.

St. Olaf held a 399-245 advantage in total offense. The Ole defense held DePauw to 55 yards rushing.

The Oles (2-0) open their home and league schedule on Saturday when they host Concordia Moorhead at 1 p.m.
