NORTHFIELD, Minn. - No. 14 St. Olaf held a 15-4 advantage in shots, but Elmhurst College claimed a 2-1 non-conference men's soccer win over the host Oles on Sunday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.

Elmhurst (2-2-0) had an unassisted goal from Mikey Emig to break a 1-1 tie in the 50th minute.

The Oles had eight shots over the final 30 minutes, including two on goal, but Elmhurst goalkeeper John Reglin made saves to secure the victory. Reglin stopped four of five shots on goal.

The lone St. Olaf goal came on Stephen Johnson's penalty kick at 38:51 after a hand ball in the Elmhurst box. The goal was Johnson's first of 2012.

Elmhurst scored first, on a Andrew Witzofsky blast in the top shelf off of a corner kick. Austin Haas picked up an assist on the score.

St. Olaf (2-2-0) opens MIAC play on Wednesday with a home match with Gustavus Adolphus College at 4 p.m.
