Oles top Hamline in four

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf had 16 kills from Melissa Burch to claim a four-set MIAC volleyball win (25-18, 25-15, 13-25, 25-19) over Hamline University on Saturday afternoon at Skoglund Center.

Burch hit .250, while Ari Carlson hit .370 with 13 kills. Hamline was paced by Paige Walters' eight kills and Lynsey Reimer's 14 digs.

St. Olaf (7-9, 3-0 MIAC) had leads of 7-1 and in the first and 9-2 in each of the first two sets. The Pipers (12-3, 0-3 MIAC) took a 16-5 lead on the way to a third set win.

In the fourth, St. Olaf led 20-18 and then won five of the next six points to take the match.
