Men's golf tops Carleton in match play

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's golf team defeated Carleton 15-9 on Sunday in a Nassau scoring format, in which each individual match yielded one point for the front nine, one for the back and one for the entire 18.

The Oles' Sklar Montour won each of the three points in his match and J.R. Shimpach took 2.5 points in the victory. Ryan Heide one his match at the top flight, 2-1.

St. Olaf will compete next at the MIAC Championships, Oct. 6-8 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn.
