Wintheiser third, Ole men seventh at Griak

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf sophomore Grant Wintheiser was third overall as the 17th-ranked Ole men's cross country team finished seventh at Minnesota's Roy Griak Maroon III race on Saturday.

Wintheiser came in at 25:46.5, 14 seconds off the winning pace in the 272-runner field.

The Oles had two others in the top 45, as Tim Lillehaugen was 35th (26:54.8) and Phillip Meyer 45th (27:08.2).

St. Olaf will be off next weekend before competing at the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational on Oct. 13. The race will be the Oles' final tuneup for the Oct. 27 MIAC Championships in St. Paul, Minn.
