Auggies edge volleyball Oles in five

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Augsburg College edged St. Olaf 15-12 in the decisive fifth set to top the host Oles (26-24, 18-25, 25-13, 20-25, 15-12) in a MIAC volleyball match on Friday.

St. Olaf (9-20, 5-4 MIAC) had 15 kills each from Melissa Burch and Katie Wolfram while Augsburg (14-10, 4-4 MIAC) was led by Ashley Peper's match-high 20 kills.

The Auggies broke an 11-11 tie, scoring four of the matches final five points, to win the match. Pepper's kill broke a 12-12 tie before a pair of attacking errors on the Oles.

St. Olaf is off until next Wednesday's meeting with Macalester College.
