Wainman is MIAC special teams player of the week

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf first year kicker Lucas Wainman was named the MIAC special teams player of the week on Monday, after his kicking and punting helped St. Olaf to a 27-20 win over Carleton on Saturday.

Wainman was 2-for-2 on field goals, hitting from 21 and 31 yards, and 3-for-3 on PATs. He punted three times, pinning Carleton at their 1-yard line, 8-yard line and 21. He had six kickoffs on the day, including three that went for touchbacks.

St. Olaf is off this week. The Oles return to action on Nov. 3 with a home game against Bethel University.
