Women's cross country second at MIAC's

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's cross country team was second at the MIAC Championships on Saturday, as Jorden Johnsen was second overall and Emma Lee third to lead the Oles, who had seven runners in the top 28.
Johnsen came in at 21:54.4 and Lee at 22:01.0 as St. Olaf finished in the top two for the third straight season. Senior Becca Bevans turned in a gutty performance to finish 13th overall (23:08.3), while Meggie Exner was 20th (23:24.6), Andi Gomoll 22nd (23:27.6) and Sophie Pietrick 24th (23:29.9). Sophomore Michaela Banz was 28th (23:35.1).
Gustavus (57) held off the Oles (60) by three points, while third place Carleton had 68 points.
St. Olaf has next week off before hosting the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships on Nov. 10.
