Women's hockey posts shutout over UW-Stevens Point

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Ali McKeever made 35 saves and Margot Fleming had a goal and an assist as the St. Olaf women's hockey team posted a 2-0 victory over UW-Stevens Point on Saturday afternoon at Northfield Ice Arena.
St. Olaf (1-1-0) had a power play goal from Nicole Stumpf at 13:52 of the second period -- on assists from Alison Umland and Fleming -- and Fleming added an empty net score in the final minute.
McKeever weathered 25 Pointer shots over the final two periods.
St. Olaf plays twice next weekend in Blaine, Minn. The Oles play Bethel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saint Ben's on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
