Cecka scores two goals as the Oles tie St. Thomas

BLAINE, Minn. - Dan Cecka scored twice as the St. Olaf men's hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie against St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon in the final round of the MIAC Showcase.

Dan Cecka scored in the first period to tie the game at 1-1, and scored again in the second to give St. Olaf a 2-1 lead. Rob Vannelli netted his second goal early in the third period for St. Thomas to tie the game.

Ross Trousdale assisted Cecka in both of his goals, while Geoff Gieni and Joel Lundstrom had one assist apiece for the Oles. Netminder Henrik Wood finished the game with 26 saves for St. Olaf.

The Oles will play the U18 Norwegian National team in an exhibition game on Wednesday.
