St. Olaf holds off St. Scholastica to win 2-1

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Steve Papciak finished with 36 saves for the Oles as they defeated St. Scholastica in a non-conference men's hockey game on Friday night.

Brian Hickey started the scoring off for the Oles with a powerplay goal in the first period assisted by Kevin Harris.

Jeff Harris scored another powerplay goal late in the second, assisted by Kevin Harris and Geoff Gieni, to give the Oles a 2-0 lead going into the third.

Paul Marcoux netted a goal for St. Scholastica midway through the third to make the score 2-1, but were unable to tie it up as the Oles came out with a win.

St. Olaf will play UW-Superior on Saturday afternoon.
