UW-Superior takes advantage of late powerplay goals to defeat St. Olaf 3-1

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - UW-Superior scored two powerplay goals in the third to take down St. Olaf 3-1 in a non-conference men's hockey game on Saturday afternoon.

Andy Singerhouse scored a goal in the first period to give Superior a 1-0 lead.

Mark Rath tied the game up for the Oles in the third with a goal assisted by Brian Hickey.

Pat Dalbec scored a powerplay goal for Superior shortly after to give them a 2-1 lead, and Nick Stoskopf scored another powerplay goal with less than a minute to play to make the final score 3-1.

Henrik Wood finished the game with 28 saves in the net for the Oles.

St. Olaf will play Concordia College-Moorhead on Friday night.
