NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's swimming and diving team topped rival Gustavus Adolphus College 195-99 on Friday night at Skoglund Center.
St. Olaf won 13 of the 16 events in the meet, including both relays. The Oles won the 200 medley relay in 1:35.70, with Evan Griffith, Colby Kubat, Billy Brebrick and Tanner Roe.
Brebrick, a first year, won the 200 butterfly in 1:54.24 which was almost 10 seconds ahead of the next swimmer. The time is third best in school history. Brebrick also won the 100 butterfly in 51.27, which ranks eighth in school history, and the 100 free (47.48).
Roe, a sophomore transfer from Michigan State, won the 200 free (1:43.78) and 500 free (4:44.10)
Griffith won the 100 back in 55.63.
Kubat won the 100 breast (58.04), 200 breast (2:10.89) and 200 individual medley (1:59.04).
Sophomore Michael Gratz won the 50 free (21.47), and swam the first leg on the Oles' winning 200 free relay team, which also featured Erik Money, Ben Kosieradzki and Hanz Schneider.
