Women's cross country finishes second at NCAA Division III Central Region Championships

NORTHFIELD, Minn.- The host St. Olaf women's cross country team finished second, 23 points behind Wartburg, at the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships on Saturday afternoon.
The second place finish means the Oles will race next weekend at the NCAA DIII Championship meet held in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Senior Emma Lee (21:48.9) and sophomore Jorden Johnson (21:55.0) finished fifth and seventh, respectively to lead the Oles. Senior Becca Bevans finished 14th (22:55.4), while junior Meggie Exner was 27th (23:25.6, and senior Andi Gomoll was 42nd (24:00.6).
Wartburg was led by Alana Enabnit and Sammi Bruett, who finished second and sixth, respectively. All five of Wartburg's runners finished in the top 30. Gustavus, who finished three points ahead of St. Olaf to win the MIAC Championship, finished in a tie for fourth with Carleton.
