Ole men get split with Saturday afternoon win at Concordia

MOORHEAD, Minn. - St. Olaf built a three-goal lead and held on for a 3-2 MIAC men's hockey win over host Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon at Moorhead Sports Center.

The win enabled St. Olaf (2-3-1, 1-1-0) to save a split in the season-opening MIAC series.

Kevin Harris, Ross Trousdale and Dylan Porter scored in succession for the Oles, who led 3-0 midway through the third period. Concordia stormed back in the third with goals from Dan Hrabowych, at 9:50, and Chris Williamson at 17:14.

St. Olaf netminder Henrik Wood made 31 saves to get his first win of the year while the Cobbers Chris Neamonitis had 35 in the loss.
