Rath scores twice as Oles beat HU

VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn. - Mark Rath scored twice and added an assist as St. Olaf defeated Hamline University 5-2 on Friday night.

Rath scored the game's first goal at 4:44 of the first period and tacked on a goal midway through the second to give St. Olaf a 4-1 lead. He had the lone assist on the game's final goal, an even-strength tally by the Oles' Ross Trousdale.

Steve Paciak made 27 saves, nine in each period, for St. Olaf in the win. The Oles also had goals from Peter Lindblad and Ben Gislason.

The series concludes tomorrow night with a 7:30 p.m. game between the teams at Northfield Ice Arena.
