Ole wrestlers fall to nationally-ranked St. John's

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Nationally-ranked Saint John's won four of its last five matches to defeat St. Olaf 26-12 on Thursday in a college wrestling dual in Collegeville.

Wesley Azariah gave St. Olaf an early 3-0 lead with 9-8 win over John Wells at 125 pounds. Saint John's quickly regained the advantage with wins at 133 and 141 pounds.

Carl Elmer's decision at 149 pounds and Jacob Bohler's overtime win at 157 pounds tied the score at 9-9. Unfortunately, the Oles dropped the next four decisions, increasing the Johnnies lead to 26-9. In the last match, Zach Gibson won at 285 pounds to provide the final score.

The Oles next meet is Saturday, December 8 at UW Eau Claire at 4pm.
