Ole wrestlers defeat UW Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The St. Olaf wrestling team defeated the Blugolds 32-13 in a dual meet Saturday. Despite dropping two of the first three matches, the Oles rallied to a 26-6 lead and won the next four consecutive matches. The win lands the Oles at 1-3 overall.
St. Olaf had two pins, one from senior Jake Bohler (157) and the other from junior Alexander Evan (165). James Roach (junior) also added a technical fall at 174 to the winning effort. In addition, the Oles had victories from Wesley Azariah (forfeit), Carl Elmer (5-0 decision), and Zach Gibson (forfeit).
The Oles are not slated to compete again until after winter break on January 12 at the Central College Open in Pella, Iowa.
