Ole women finish strong to top Auggies

NORTHFIELD, Minn.- The St. Olaf women's basketball team closed the game on a 12-2 run over the last 3:41 to come away with a 61-60 MIAC win over Augsburg on Saturday afternoon at the Skoglund Center.

Mackenzie Wolter had 18 points, including 13 in the second half, to lead St. Olaf (7-6, 5-5 MIAC). Nikki Frogner had 16 and Kim Cerjan 12 as the Oles won their fourth straight.

Anne Skirba had 13 and Jolene Blood 12 points to lead Augsburg (5-8, 3-7 MIAC).

Lauren Gutierrez added a season-best nine assists, against three turnovers, as St. Olaf had a season low 14 giveaways.

Wolter's 18 points moved her into third on the all-time list at St. Olaf with 1,047. She needs seven to get to the second spot on the list. She is averaging 15.3 points/game over the team's four-game winning streak.
