Long-range shooting leads Cardinals by Ole women

NORTHFIELD, Minn.- Jessica Thone scored 20 points and Saint Mary's shot 9-for-19 from behind the arc, as the Cardinals topped the St. Olaf women's basketball team 68-56 on Wednesday night at the Skoglund Center.
Thone shot 5-of-7 from the field and made all four of her three's and all six of her free throws. Courntey Euerle and Jamie Stefely each pitched in with 11 points for the Cardinals (11-3, 8-3 MIAC). Saint Mary's went 6-for-11 on three's in the second half.
Mackenzie Wolter led the Oles (7-7, 5-6 MIAC) with her game-high 24 points. Wolter shot 8-20 from the field and made three three-pointers. Nikki Frogner was the only other St. Olaf player to crack double figures and finished with 10 points.
St. Olaf hosts Saint Ben's on Saturday at 3 p.m.
