Streak snapped as Bethel beats Ole women

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Bethel University scored a 7-4 MIAC women's hockey victory over host St. Olaf on Saturday night, as the Oles saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.

Caroline Kivisto had two goals and two assists for the Royals (7-7-1, 4-3-1 MIAC), who had a pair of empty net tallies in the final period to seal the win. Bethel scored four unanswered goals after Nicole Stumpf gave St. Olaf a 1-0 lead in the second minute.

Margot Fleming had a goal and an assist for the Oles (8-5-2, 4-3-1 MIAC) in the loss.

St. Olaf plays a home-and-home series with the University of St. Thomas next weekend. The teams meet in Mendota Heights on Friday before playing in Northfield on Sunday.
